Will & Grace creator’s real-life plot twist: Two men and two babies…
February 19, 2009
No one will ever accuse Will & Grace creator Max Mutchnick of not being able to tell a great story. Max, whose October nuptials to his partner Eric was covered in a splashy New York Times article, recounts an experience of he and his husband going through airport security with their twin girls and trying to explain their family (AGAIN!) to the TSA screener - all while trying to catch their plane. Read Max's piece at the Huffington Post here. Although imbued with his trademark wit, Max's tale is a reminder of the countless ways that LGBT families are forced to stop and explain themselves while straight families go about their lives unquestioned and, often, unaware of the unequal treatment. The beauty of Max's post on the challenges of being a gay father is that he's still able to look on the bright side of things - and even educate a few people along the way.
