- Austin became the first city in Texas to officially support marriage equality. The Austin City Council unanimously passed the resolution on Thursday declaring the city’s support.
- Golden Globe winner Katey Sagal announced her support for marriage equality, joining a cadre of supportive professional athletes, film and music celebrities, political and civil rights leaders and business leaders. - The Department of Homeland Security issued Friday new guidance indicating that bi-national, same-sex partners will be explicitly included in the ‘family relationships’ that will be considered under prosecutorial discretion decisions by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
- Gap, a 100 percent rated company on HRC’s Corporate Equality Index, made headlines on social media this week for it’s inclusion of domestic partners in their employee discount program.
