Webinar Tomorrow: National Center for Transgender Equality Talks Trans Campus Resources
September 26, 2012 by Dan Rafter, Associate Director of Communications
The National Center for Transgender Equality is holding a webinar tomorrow on the organization’s new Transgender On-campus Nondiscrimination Information (TONI) Project – a website that allows trans and gender non-conforming college students to share information about trans-affirmative on-campus practices, and provides a forum for exchanging ideas to improve campus life.
Tomorrow’s webinar takes place at 5:00pm ET, and is the first in a series of four. Future webinars will be held the second week of October. Sign up now.
The TONI Project offers students information on everyday college campus situations and policies, including safety, housing, healthcare, and documentation. According to NCTE, TONI serves as a tool to counteract the many obstacles trans students face on a daily basis – while empowering them to complete their education while simultaneously advocating for their rights.
