Wear HRC Blue and Yellow on Leap Day!

The following post comes from Ben Shallenberger, HRC Media Production Manager:
Anyone that knows me knows that I’m a huge HRC cheerleader. On top of using every opportunity to share the work that the Human Rights Campaign does on a daily basis, I proudly “bleed blue and yellow”.
That’s why I was overjoyed last week when NBC’s 30 Rock had an episode called “Leap Day William.” Similar to wearing green on St. Patrick’s Day, the episode suggests that on Leap Day, you should wear yellow and blue to get into the spirit of the day that only comes once every four years.
So I woke up this morning to find as much HRC blue and yellow as I could possibly fit into one outfit. When I see that recognizable blue and yellow logo, I know that equality is coming. When I see it on others, I know they believe in equality. There’s an instant connection I have with anyone who supports HRC. If I can have another excuse for wearing the colors, even if it’s as small as a Leap Day joke, I’ll take it!
