Watch Now: New Video from Washington United for Marriage

This post comes from HRC Regional Field Director Tony Wagner. He is working with Washington United for Marriage, the campaign working to defend marriage equality at the ballot box in November.

Starting today, when TV viewers settle down on their couches to watch their favorite evening shows, many of them will also view the first in a series of ads by Washington United for Marriage.

The ad launching today features Robin and Steve Boehler of Mercer Island. The Boehlers have been married for more than 30 years and have three daughters.

The couple wants all of their daughters to be able to marry the person they love. Their youngest, Sarah, is a lesbian, and can’t legally wed in her home state.

“I want her to have the same kind of joy Robin and I have had,” Steve Boehler says in the ad.

Washington United reserved $5 million in TV time to air advertisements in the weeks leading up to Election Day on November 6. Stay tuned for details about more ads as we launch them.
