Watch New Ad: Republicans Support Marriage Equality

Mitt Romney takes the stage tonight to deliver his convention address, having embraced many of the anti-LGBT positions in his party’s platform. Among those positions is a rejection for any type of relationship recognition for committed same-sex couples – placing him further to the right than President George W. Bush ever was (he supported civil unions), as well as the majority of Americans and growing number of Republicans who support marriage equality.
HRC and Freedom to Marry are running an ad in Tampa during this convention this week to highlight that a number of prominent Republicans do, in fact, support marriage equality – regardless of what the antiquated party platform professes. Check out the ad:
