Video: Exodus Leader Discusses Group’s Shift from Harmful Reparative Therapy

Earlier this year, Exodus International President Alan Chambers made headlines when he told reporters he no longer believed homosexuality could be cured through so-called reparative therapy.
In a new interview with OWN’s Lisa Ling, Chambers talks more about the “detrimental” and unsuccessful effects of reparative therapy, as well as ways to build relationship and respect between LGBT and Christian communities.

Every major medical and mental health organization in the United States has issued a statement condemning the use of reparative therapy, including the American Psychological Association.
