Video: Conservatives Support Marriage Equality

Just a few weeks ago, we learned that support for marriage equality increased 21 percent over the last eight years – indicative of a huge shift in public opinion on the issue. That support is present within the GOP as well – at the Republican National Convention earlier this year, a group of young conservatives petitioned the platform drafting committee not to oppose marriage equality in their 2012 platform.
Last week, even Newt Gingrich – who presided over the House when the discriminatory Defense of Marriage Act was passed – said it was time for his party to reconsider its stance on marriage.
As more and more LGBT Americans continue sharing their stories with friends, family and neighbors, support for equality becomes increasingly commonsense.
