Yesterday, MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry was joined by author Kate Bornstein, Mara Keisling of the National Center for Transgender Equality and Mel Wymore, a Democratic candidate for New York City Council, for a discussion on gender identity and discrimination in America.
Conversation topics include the unique forms of discrimination faced by transgender people, the limitations of labels, and how diverse communities can address inequality in ways that unify rather than fractionalize.
