Vice President Biden Lauds LGBT Community

Vice President Joe Biden praised the LGBT community at a campaign event on Cape Cod this weekend. In remarks reported by the Cape Cod Times, Biden said:
Many of you have advanced civil rights at great expense….If I had to use one adjective to describe this community, it'd be courage. You have summoned the courage to speak out, to come out. We owe you.
Vice President Biden went on to say that, in the fight for equality, LGBT advocates were “freeing the soul of the American people.”
Biden endorsed full marriage equality for same-sex couples in May.
