UPDATE: Vote on Attorney General nominee Eric Holder postponed
January 22, 2009
UPDATE: The Senate Judiciary Committee held a mark-up yesterday on the nomination of Eric H. Holder Jr. as Attorney General. Although a vote on Holder’s nomination was expected, Senator Leahy announced that at the insistence of Senator Specter, the Committee would delay the vote for one week.
The Committee will meet again next Wednesday, January 28th and is expected to vote on Holder’s nomination at that time.
Once Holder’s nomination is approved by the Committee, it will be sent to the full Senate for a vote.
