TONI Project: Providing Important Resources and Data for Trans College Students

TONI ProjectPost submitted by Dan Rafter, Former HRC Associate Director of Communications

Last month, we told you about the National Center for Transgender Equality’s TONI (Transgender On-campus Nondiscrimination Information) Project - a website that allows trans and gender non-conforming college students to share information about trans-affirmative on-campus practices, and provides a forum for exchanging ideas to improve campus life.

There are two more webinars this week where you can learn about this important tool – tomorrow at 5pm ET, and Thursday at 1pm ET. Register now.

The TONI Project offers students information on everyday college campus situations and policies, including safety, housing, healthcare, and documentation. According to NCTE, TONI serves as a tool to counteract the many obstacles trans students face on a daily basis – while empowering them to complete their education while simultaneously advocating for their rights.

Learn more at www.transstudents.org, and sign-up to attend a webinar this week.
