Today’s Top Five Must-Reads
November 1, 2011 by Maureen McCarty, HRC Senior Digital Strategist
Frank Bruni’s New York Times article on our Americans for Marriage Equality campaign is one of today’s must-read pieces, according to Atlantic Wire.
The piece, entitled “Race, Religion and Same-Sex Marriage,” is an affirmation of HRC’s Americans for Marriage Equality campaign, which has thus far featured Newark Mayor Cory Booker, Oscar winner Mo’Nique, and, most recently, NAACP Chairman Emeritus Julian Bond.
While a majority of Americans support marriage equality, the campaign is meant to engage a number of important communities, including the African American community, in a conversation about equal marriage rights.
