May 17, 2012 by Eric Cameron, Digital Media Associate
This afternoon, HRC proudly presents the release of The Road to Safety: Strengthening Protection of LGBTI Refugees in Uganda and Kenya by Human Rights First to commemorate International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia.
This is the second event in HRC's Equality Talks speaker series. We hope you can join us today at 3:30 p.m. EST, here in HRC’s DC headquarters or live online.
The event will feature remarks from special guests, including the Honorable Anne Richard, Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees and Migration. The panel that follows will feature distinguished guests from Human Rights First, the UN Refugee Agency and the Council for Global Equality.
A full list of speakers and details about the location are available here. HRC is thrilled to help bring together such an impressive line-up of refugee advocates and experts. If you can’t make the talk, a live broadcast will be available at www.hrc.org/equalitytalks. Video will remain available in the weeks to come.
