The Muppets Drop Chick-fil-A
July 23, 2012 by Dan Rafter, Online Campaigns Manager
The Muppets are saying no to Chick-fil-A. In a statement posted to the Jim Henson Company’s Facebook page, the organization noted that it “has celebrated and embraced diversity and inclusiveness for over fifty years and we have notified Chick-Fil-A that we do not wish to partner with them on any future endeavors.” The notice goes on to state that the Jim Henson Company’s CEO is a strong supporter of marriage equality.
NOM is leading the charge in support of Chick-fil-A – but fair-minded figures and organizations like the Jim Henson Company are indicative of how Chick-fil-A’s givings are not at all in-line with the opinions and values of mainstream Americans. Join HRC in telling Chick-fil-A they’re on the wrong side of history – sign our pledge now.
