Every year over 30,000 runners from 50 different countries test their strength, agility and endurance at the annual Marine Corps Marathon. For the third consecutive year, HRC is happy to continue our partnership with the MCM and will be forming a team of athletes to run the race in the name of equality.
Marine Corps Marathon slots sell out almost immediately, and we only have 50 spots available, so ensure your spot today.
HRC Athletes commit to raising $1,500 each to fund critically needed programs, but most runners surpass this goal through quick emails to family and friends.
In exchange for dedicating your run to equality, HRC will provide you with a unique array of support. We’ll help you set up your own fundraising page, provide helpful tips and best practices when asking for donations, provide you with a step by step training program, connect you with other athletes via and even have a full time coach dedicated to guide you through the process of preparing for race day from the moment you sign up.
Are you willing and able to rise to the occasion? Becoming an HRC Athlete is an incredible way to get fit and fight for fairness all at the same time. As you reach the finish line in October, you'll feel the satisfaction of having run a full marathon on behalf of LGBT equality. And that'll be an amazing feeling and a lasting legacy as we all move towards the finish line of full equality.
Hit the ground running and start your registration today!
Have the passion, but not quite ready for a full marathon? Visit hrc.org/athletes for more information on our "Choose Your Own" program.
