Spirit. Strength. Love. Equal Rights.

Post submitted by HRC Consumer Marketing Coordinator Bryce Romero:
For supporters of equality these four expressions stand for much of what we hold near and dear to our hearts. As guiding principles, they challenge us to continue the battle for fundamental fairness - from improving the lives of at-risk LGBT youth to encouraging ourselves and others to live and love open, honest lives. They remind us of our individuality and our strong sense of community.
On Spirit Day, millions of Americans and dozens of cities and national landmarks across the country go purple to remember those we’ve lost to harassment and bullying but also to renew a commitment to ensuring the safety of all of America’s youth. This Spirit Day, HRC is proud to partner with artist Kelly Towles on a limited-edition Strong Heart T-shirt available in both adult and kids sizes. As a straight man and young father, Kelly envisions a world where his son Atticus can grow up in an environment where bullying is not tolerated, all are equal and love conquers hate. Kelly's design features a whimsical purple heart which includes the words spirit, stay strong, love and equal rights.
