Seattle Couple Talks About Evolving Views on Marriage

This post comes from HRC Regional Field Director Tony Wagner. He is working with Washington United for Marriage, the campaign working to defend marriage equality at the ballot box in November.

Chad and Lisa Johnson of Seattle had never known a family with two moms until they met Colleen Ozolitis and her partner, Lee Ann Martinson. The couples’ sons attended preschool together.

In the newest ad from Washington United for Marriage, the Johnsons talk about how getting to know Ozolitis and Martinson helped them see how much the two couples have in common.

“We realized they hope to marry for similar reasons as everyone else,” Chad Johnson says in the ad.

“To share and build a life together,” Lisa Johnson says.

Watch the ad below, and take action today to get involved in the fight for the freedom to marry in Washington.
