Schneider’s New Ad Supports ENDA

Today Illinois Democratic nominee for U.S. House of Representatives Brad Schneider released an ad highlighting his support for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which would protect employees from being fired because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
According to a 2011 Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research poll, 79 percent of Americans who support ending employment discrimination against LGBT individuals.
ENDA simply affords to all Americans basic employment protection from discrimination based on irrational prejudice. Currently, it is legal in 29 states to fire someone for their sexual orientation, and it is legal in 34 states to fire someone for being transgender.
