January 22, 2013 by David Contreras Turley, Senior Regional Field Organizer
RI House Committee votes unanimously to send marriage bill to floor vote.
Here in Providence earlier this afternoon the House Judiciary Committee voted 12-0 to send the Marriage Equality Bill (HB 5015) to the full House floor.
That vote is expected to take place on Thursday where it should pass easily before moving to the tougher Senate.
Today's unanimous vote provides momentum for marriage equality in Rhode Island. You can feel the excitement and energy here.
