Retired Air Force Officer: ENDA Embodies Fundamental Military Values

Post submitted by Adam Bradley, HRC Communications Intern

In an op-ed for the Scranton Times-Tribune, Hal Donahue—a retired lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force and a former business executive—described the “core military values” he recognizes in the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA).

“I didn’t serve my country so that hardworking Americans could be fired simply because they’re gay,” said Donahue. “Passing ENDA is critical to securing and advancing the freedoms our country has always stood for.”

HRC is proud to be a member of the Americans for Workplace Opportunity campaign – a bipartisan campaign to pass ENDA. You can take action and learn more at workplaceopportunity.org.
