Real Pride in Denver

The crowds were large and the energy (and temperatures) were high in Denver this past weekend for the city’s annual PrideFest 2012. HRC had a large presence – nearly 50 supporters marched under HRC flags in the Pride parade on Sunday, and a steady stream of traffic kept our booths hopping all weekend long.
The festival took place in the shadow of the state capitol in Civic Center Park. Entertainment included Fab Morvan of Milli Vanilli and Kristine W. Elected officials also partook – Congressman Jared Polis was spotted at the festival on Saturday; while the Grand Marshals of Sunday’s parade were four out members of the state legislature - Senators Pat Steadman and Lucia Guzman, and Representatives Mark Ferrandino and Sue Schafer.
