Praying for the Persecuted

Let us pray for Christians who are victims of persecution, so that they may know how to respond to evil with good.

 

In this season of Lent Pope Francis asks us to "pray for Christians who are victims of persecution, so that they may know how to respond to evil with good."

In 77 countries, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people are considered criminals and can be thrown in jail just because of who they love. We pray for an end to their persecution as well. This week, cardinal Peter Turkson criticized Uganda's Anti-Homosexuality Bill.
