Indie pop-duo and new members of our Equality Rocks campaign Tegan and Sara are being commemorated this year at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas after a groundbreaking performance of their hit song “Closer” during the Tonight Show with Jay Leno back in April.
The performance, which made a statement for marriage equality, saw the duo performing on a backdrop of pink and red while one of HRC’s red equality symbols was displayed on the drum kit. Now, the outfits and color scheme from the performance along with some general memorabilia are on display at the hotel in a glass case branded with the duo’s names.
Tegan and Sara are both major supporters of HRC and marriage equality, recently letting HRC canvas for marriage equality at their concert in Oregon.
