Last week, Las Vegas HRC volunteers and staff had a great night phone banking to support the Employment Non-Discrimination Act. We called HRC members in Las Vegas, asking them to leave messages for their representatives in support of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.
We made 300 phone calls to HRC members, and talked to them about how the Employment Non-Discrimination Act would help the millions of LGBT Americans who can still be legally fired, just for being who they are. We had a lot of great conversations and even recruited a few new volunteers.
If you’d like to volunteer with our campaign to pass employment protections for all LGBT Americans, please visit www.passENDAnow.org to sign up! We need your help to make sure our representatives know that Americans believe in equality of opportunity.
That’s what ENDA is about - equality of opportunity. Every American deserves to be judged in the workplace based on their merits, and no one should be discriminated against based on immutable characteristics like sexual orientation and gender identity. Please join with us to help us tell Congress that we want everyone to be able to pursue the American Dream.
