Parishioners Support NC Pastor’s Plan to Kill off LGBT People
May 23, 2012 by Dan Rafter, Online Campaigns Manager
Earlier this week, North Carolina Pastor Charles Worley made headlines with his despicable remarks that he would rid the world of LGBT people by putting them behind electrified fences in concentration camps and waiting for them to die off.
Worley’s sermon sparked understandable outrage. You can join HRC and send a letter to Worley telling him how disgusted you are by his comments. And the Catawba Valley Citizens Against Hate are organizing a peaceful protest this Sunday, May 27.
Now, the Church’s parishioners are backing up Worley’s remarks. In an interview with local news outlet WCNC, parishioners say that Worley is “trying to save those people from going to Hell,” while another declares: “The Bible says they’re worthy of death.”
