More than 12,000 athletes are converging on London for the Olympic games, and at least 14 are openly gay.

Three of those LGBT athletes come from the United States. They include top-ranked doubles tennis player Lisa Raymond, WNBA champion Seimone Augustus, and women’s soccer star Megan Rapinoe. Rapinoe was a member of the U.S. Women’s team that nearly won the 2011 World Cup. She officially came out earlier this month.

Rapinoe’s Olympic soccer coach, Pia Sundhage, is also openly gay.

Other LGBT athletes-to-watch include Australia’s Olympic gold-winning diver Matthew Mitcham, Dutch field hockey player Marilyn Agliotti, German cycler Judith Arndt and French triathlete Carole Péon.
