Openly LGBT Lawmaker Kyrsten Sinema Wins Arizona Congressional Primary
August 29, 2012 by Eric Cameron, Digital Media Associate
After winning last night’s Democratic primary, Kyrsten Sinema is one step closer to becoming the first openly bisexual member of Congress.
A former state Senator and Representative, Sinema has been the Arizona legislature’s strongest proponent of LGBT equality. If elected to the U.S. House, she would continue to use her experience and passion to advance equality for LGBT Americans. She is endorsed by HRC and the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund.
Sinema now faces a tough general election against Valley Town councilman Vernon Parker. Support Sinema and other pro-equality candidates today.
