One Million Moms Says ‘So Long Amazon’
July 31, 2012 by Eric Cameron, Digital Media Associate
In a move rivaling the American Family Association’s proposed Google boycott, One Million Moms is encouraging followers to say, “So long Amazon.”
OMM suggested Facebook followers drop the online retailer after Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and his wife MacKenzie made a $2.5 million personal donation to defend marriage equality in Washington state.
Microsoft, Google, Starbucks and dozens of other major corporations have endorsed marriage equality efforts in Washington. With an ever-growing list of business leaders and corporations supporting equal rights for LGBT Americans, even OMM’s Facebook followers are questioning the feasibility of boycotting every fair-minded business in America.

You can sign up here to volunteer with HRC to help mobilize supporters of marriage equality in Washington or donate to HRC’s special fund to direct 100 percent of your contribution to Approve Referendum 74.
