OMM: NBC’s ‘New Normal’ is ‘Damaging to Our Culture’

No surprise here. One Million Moms is preemptively boycotting The New Normal, the upcoming NBC comedy from producers Ali Adler and Ryan Murphy.
The show features a committed gay couple trying to have a child via surrogate. Without seeing more than a trailer, OMM leaders are appalled that “NBC is using public airwaves to continue to subject families to the decay of morals and values, and the sanctity of marriage in attempting to redefine marriage.”
In their boycott letter, they call The New Normal “degrading to families and damaging to our culture.”
The growing majority of Americans support equal rights for loving and committed same-sex couples, and hugely popular shows like Modern Family and Glee continue to open hearts and advance dialogue on issues of LGBT equality.
