NY Races to Watch Tomorrow for the Future of Marriage Equality in the State
November 1, 2010 by Marty Rouse, National Field Director
Being born and raised in New York, it is exciting to know that New York is poised to become the next state to pass marriage equality. To see the dream become reality however, Andrew Cuomo must win the Governor’s race and we need to elect several more marriage equality supporters in the New York state Senate. I am so proud of how HRC members have stepped up and have worked tirelessly and strategically in key elections to make history in the Empire State. Here are some of the races to watch. HRC is working hard in each of them: To keep momentum for marriage going strong in New York, we need to win three to four of these races.
