NH update: 186 Thank yous

nh_capitol_small1Yesterday, 186 legislators voted in favor of an amended marriage bill. With the vote of 186-188, if one legislator had switched to vote yes, we would likely have marriage equality enacted in the Granite State. With an encouraging follow-up vote of 207-168, the House voted to set up a conference committee with the senate to work out a compromise that could get the bill to the Governor's desk as early as June 3rd. Now, we must take the time to thank the 186 who voted for marriage equality. We will need each of them to show up and vote again on June 3rd. Today, we say thank you. Tomorrow we get to work building on our momentum and showing legislators that our hopeful quest for freedom and equality has broad support across New Hampshire.
