NH: One hour and counting
June 3, 2009

The Senate set to vote in one hour on the marriage bill and then it goes over to the House. Senator Martha Fuller Clark addressing the 300 rally attendeessaid, "today I call on all my Senate and House colleagues to vote in favor of equality, HB 73. It's time for liberty and freedom." Next to speak was fire-fighter and Lebanon school board member Andy White, who just won a special House election last night. He will be sworn in in less than an hour, casting what could be the deciding vote on the marriage bill. The crowd roared it's approval as he stated, "As a proud husband and father I feel strongly that passage of this bill is essential to strengthening families." UPDATE: 10am: Call to order. We are having last minute discussions as members file in on the second floor. Our side is taking this very seriously. No smiles in these last minute conversations. The Senate will vote first, and that vote is considered safe. All bets are off for the house. Here we go... I'm headed to the 3rd floor House gallery to watch history. UPDATE 2: Senate passes marriage bill [WMUR]
