Next Week: HRC Observes Transgender Day of Remembrance

Throughout the world, people gather every year on November 20 to pay respect to those transgender and gender-variant individuals – or those perceived to be transgender – who have been murdered because of hate.

In observance of this year’s Transgender Day of Remembrance, HRC members and supporters will join with community organizers across the country to pay respect to those needlessly killed in the past year and call attention to the threat of violence our transgender sisters and brothers regularly face.

Stand beside us in Boston, Dallas, Palm Springs and other cities this weekend for community vigils honoring those lost. For more information on upcoming events in your city, visit hrc.org/tdor.

All next week on the HRC blog, HRC will be raising up the voices of transgender community leaders and advocates to inspire us in the continued fight for a safer and better future for all members of our community.
