New Poll Shows Strong Majority Support for Marriage in Maine
October 1, 2012 by Matt McTighe
Matt McTighe is the campaign manager for Mainers United for Marriage, the campaign working to win marriage equality in Maine.
The latest poll out of Maine shows support for same-sex marriage is leading 57 percent to 36 percent!
Results of the statewide poll, commissioned by the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram, were released on Sunday.
The polling numbers have stayed consistently strong in recent months, but Mainers United for Marriage won’t stop working for every “Yes on 1” vote until the polls close on Nov. 6.
If you have a few seconds to help, sign our pledge to show your commitment to winning marriage equality in Maine.

No matter where you live, you can make a difference in Maine. HRC has set up a special fund – HRC Maine Families PAC – to direct 100 percent of your contribution to help win marriage equality in Maine. Together, we can mobilize the majority of Mainers who support marriage equality and win at the ballot this November.
