NCOD 2012: Come Out. Vote.
September 27, 2012 by Carolyn Simon
National Coming Out Day is October 11, and with the election right around the corner, there’s no better time to send a message that you want your elected officials to come out in support of LGBT equality.
Check out HRC’s new NCOD Facebook app and let your friends and family know that you vote for candidates that will fight for equal rights for all Americans.
The app also allows you to drop a pin on our nationwide map to show that people from coast to coast are standing up for equality this election season.
Every year on National Coming Out Day, we celebrate coming out as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or as an ally. This year's theme is "Come Out. Vote." Stay tuned to HRC’s Backstory blog for more details about how HRC will be celebrating NCOD 2012.
For now, go visit HRC’s NCOD Facebook app, and let us know what you think in the comments!
