National Call-In Day in Support of the Student Non-Discrimination Act

Today, the Human Rights Campaign is partnering with Senator Al Franken’s (D-Minn) office and other national groups on a national call-in day to support the Student Non-Discrimination Act. The SNDA would prohibit public schools from discriminating against any student on the basis of actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity. The SNDA is an important step in addressing the discrimination that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students face every day in their schools and classrooms.

You may recall our recent post highlighting Senator Franken’s video urging people to contact their senators to support the SNDA.

Take a moment and find out where your senator stands on this important piece of legislation by going here and then call to thank them for their support or urge them to cosponsor the SNDA.
