Yesterday, Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska came out in support of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) and credited a postcard campaign led by HRC as part of the reason she decide to make her support for the bill known.
"It’s important to them. It’s important to me," she said of her constituents, according to the New York Times.
In fact, ENDA is supported by a large swath of the American public, who believe that you shouldn't be able to be fired just because of who you are.
Now, with ENDA headed to the full Senate in the near future, now is the time to tell your Senator that workplace equality for LGBT Americans is important to you, too.
