MSNBC Host Thomas Roberts married long-time partner Patrick Abner over the weekend, becoming the first cable news anchor to marry a person of the same sex.
The Manhattan ceremony was officiated by California Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom.
In 2006, Roberts was one of the first cable news anchors to publicly come out. He now stands in good company with Rachel Maddow, Don Lemon, Anderson Cooper and others.
