Morning Roundup: DC Marriage, Wedding Contest, DADT Op-Ed & more

  • The DC Examiner reports that marriage applications spiked six times more than usual last month when same-sex couples were allowed to legally wed in the District.
  • In case you missed Monday's op-ed in the Boston Herald from Sen. John Kerry, take a read: "I’ve never understood why a government would say no to citizens who volunteer to risk life and limb to do their patriotic duty."

  • One Maryland state delegate is pursuing impeachment of Attorney General Doug Gansler after the AG issued an opinion saying the state can recognize out of jurisdiction same-sex marriages.
