The following post comes from HRC Digital Media Intern Eric Cameron:
Openly gay actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who plays Mitchell on ABC's Modern Family, joined the ladies of The View yesterday to discuss the “Don’t Say Gay” bill advancing through the Tennessee legislature.
During testimony last week, Tennessee State Rep. Joey Hensley expressed his personal concern that Modern Family might teach children that gay people exist.
Ferguson reminds the View audience that gay people still exist whether or not the Tennessee legislature chooses to acknowledge them.
