Mitt Romney Opposes Boy Scout Ban on Gays

Today we learned that the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) refused to change its policy that bans “avowed homosexuals” from joining the organization. This decision is completely out of touch with most Americans – even Mitt Romney.
Governor Romney, a former BSA national board member, stated way back in 1994, “I feel that all people should be allowed to participate in the Boy Scouts regardless of their sexual orientation.” While we’re grateful to the governor for us support of acceptance and non-discrimination in this particular instance, we wish he would take a similar stance on other issues of LGBT equality like marriage or ENDA, just to name a few.
Tell the BSA to drop their misguided and hurtful policy. Send your message now.
