Mi Casa Es Su Casa
June 29, 2012 by Marty Rouse, National Field Director
Earlier this week I dropped by to say hello to our friends at Casa de Maryland, the largest organization working for equal rights and fairness for Latino and immigrant families in Maryland.
It was exciting to see their Multicultural Center in Langley Park buzzing with activity.
This November, in addition to the Civil Marriage Protection Act, the Dream Act, also passed by the Maryland Legislature, will be on the ballot for referendum.
As Maryland families enjoy the summer sun and fun, it's good to know that our allies at Casa de Maryland, like Marylanders for Marriage Equality, are hard at work making plans to assure that all Maryland families are treated equally. HRC is a founding member of the Marylanders for Marriage equality campaign.
