Marriage Equality to Be Introduced in Minnesota
February 27, 2013 by Maureen McCarty, Online Content and Marketing Manager
Today legislative leaders will introduce bi-partisan-supported marriage equality legislation.
The bill is co-authored by Republican Sen. Branden Petersen, Sen. Scott Dibble, Rep. Karen Clark and Rep. Steve Simon.
Last year, fair-minded Minnesotans prevailed, defeating an anti-marriage constitutional amendment at the ballot box. Now momentum is building toward passing marriage equality in 2013.
HRC is hard at work with Minnesotans United for All Families as a major partner to bring marriage equality to the state. Together we’re activating tens of thousands of volunteers and supporters across the state to tell their legislators to do the right thing.
