Marriage Equality Ads to Begin Airing in Washington State

Sheila Stickel is the deputy campaign manager for Washington United for Marriage, the campaign working to defend marriage equality at the ballot box in November.

The fight to defend marriage equality in Washington is going prime time.

The big news this week for the Washington United for Marriage campaign is that we’ve reserved $5 million in TV time to air advertisements statewide.

The ads will start airing in September. We’ll keep you posted about the official rollout of the ads in the coming weeks!

And just in time for the Labor Day holiday, the Washington United campaign is launching Union Week. Almost two dozen unions representing more than 500,000 working families have already endorsed marriage equality. Union leaders and members are stepping up in a big way to help the campaign. On Wednesday, dozens of our union friends hosted our largest phone bank to date!

Find out more about Union Week and other coalition efforts by visiting the Washington United Facebook page.
