Majority of Delaware Voters Support Marriage Equality

The majority of fair-minded Delaware voters – 54 percent – support marriage equality, according to a statewide poll by Equality Delaware.
Of the 603 phone interviews conducted by Global Strategy Group, a bipartisan 54 percent said they would support marriage equality legislation, while just 37 percent opposed and 8 percent declined to answer.
Legislation is expected in the Delaware General Assembly this spring.
“We have a real chance to pass marriage equality in Delaware this year and show the next generation of LGBT youth that they are not broken, that they are not wrong, that they are equal,” said U.S. Senator Coons at the HRC Philadelphia Gala dinner last month.
