Keeping up the Fight for Equality in Hawaii

This weekend, Tony and I attended the 27th Annual Universal Show Queen Pageant in Honolulu, HI. We joined up with Equality Hawaii to talk to attendees about the civil unions bill on the Governor’s potential veto list. Most of the attendees were supportive and filled out postcards that we’ll be sending to the governor later this week, urging her to sign the important legislation that would affect thousands of Hawaii families and bring equality to the islands. We’ll be continuing our work here in Hawaii to urge the governor to sign the civil unions bill. You can do your part by calling the Governor’s office at 808.586.0034 and telling her how important this legislation is and to do the right thing by making this bill a law.
