Julianna Margulies and Husband Keith Lieberthal Join HRC’s “NY for Marriage Equality Campaign

Emmy Award winning actress Julianna Margulies and her husband Keith Lieberthal have joined forces with HRC to fight for marriage equality in New York. In a new video, the couple describes the need to strengthen traditional marriage by “letting every New Yorker embrace this commitment to the person they love.” The campaign, which raises the public profile of marriage equality in the Empire State, can be viewed online at www.hrc.org/NY4marriage.
A recent poll released by Siena Research Institute shows public opinion continues to trend toward marriage equality in New York State with a record high of 58 percent support and a record low of 36 percent opposition.
Julianna Margulies is known for her Emmy and Golden Globe winning performances on ER and The Good Wife, as well as her roles on The Sopranos and The Mists of Avalon, among others. Her husband Keith Lieberthal is an attorney in New York.
The New Yorkers for Marriage Equality campaign is centered on video testimonials from New Yorkers who support the right of same-sex couples to marry. To date, HRC has released videos from Bill T.
