Join Us Tomorrow for a Talk with Author and Correspondent Nicholas Kralev
November 14, 2012 by Eric Cameron, Digital Media Coordinator
One more reminder that tomorrow, November 15, HRC will be teaming with Gays and Lesbians in Foreign Affairs Agencies (GLIFFA) to host a free reading and discussion with Nicholas Kralev, author of America's Other Army: The U.S. Foreign Service and 21st Century Diplomacy.
Kralev is a former Financial Times and Washington Times correspondent with a decade of experience interviewing and traveling with leading American diplomats in Washington and around the world.
He will share behind-the-scenes insights about modern diplomacy and will discuss the battles of LGBT diplomats for equality and acceptance. He will focus on Hillary Clinton's role in advancing LBGT rights -- both in the Foreign Service and around the world. He will also examine whether the Foreign Service is equipped to address the challenges of the 21st century, and what needs to be done to improve it.
We hope you can join us at HRC's D.C. headquarters for this special event on Thursday at 6:00 pm! Find more details and RSVP here. You can also watch videos of past talks with Bishop Gene Robinson and other guests at hrc.org/equalitytalks.
