Join Us for a Special Talk with LGBT Advocate and Pioneer Bishop Gene Robinson

HRC is proud to host a reception with Bishop Gene Robinson celebrating the release of his new book, God Believes in Love: Straight Talk about Gay Marriage.

A pioneering religious spokesperson for LGBT rights, a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress, and the first ever openly gay person elected to the historic episcopate, Bishop Robinson uses his new book to “lovingly and persuasively make the case for same-sex marriage using commonsense, reasoned and religious arguments.”

We are thrilled to have Bishop Robinson join us at HRC’s D.C. headquarters on Monday, October 1, 2012, for a book reading and discussion. Doors open at 6:00 pm, and the event kicks off at 6:30 pm.

We invite you to RSVP to this special event at equalitytalks@hrc.org or on Facebook. You can also watch a live videostream of the event at hrc.org/equalitytalks.
